Think I have the plague

Think I have the plague

It’s not bad enough that I don’t have a three-day weekend for the holiday I caught the friggin plague from Ry. I am miserable and cranky. (And ever so grateful to whomever came up with the idea for Puffs Plus with lotion.) I tried to venture out earlier but even going to the supermarket wore me out.
So during my wonderfully exciting weekend I have managed to catch two really good movies. Yesterday I finally got around to watching Hot Tub Time Machine. Loved it! Especially the soundtrack. I have to remember to add it to my Amazon wish list. Now the only John Cusack movie I haven’t seen yet is 2012. For some reason I am just never in the mood to watch it.
Today I watched Surrogates with Bruce Willis. My nerdy self of course loved this sci-fi flick. It’s a scary thought considering how much people get addicted to being on-line and replacing real life with their “Second” life. Watched that using the new Netflix membership. Yes indeed I am really bored.
I did just make a jackpot find of a whole box of unread books. I received them right before Christmas and for the life of me couldn’t remember what I did with the box. I eventually began to think I was mistaken and wasn’t missing anything. The box went under my bed and I of course NEVER venture under there unless searching for a missing kitty. And now I am going to go pick one to read. Happy 4th!

Sunday Morning and the Coffee is Perfect!

Sunday Morning and the Coffee is Perfect!

A perfect cup of coffee is really one of life’s small pleasures. Can set the tone for the whole day. Bliss!
Doing laundry, going to clean the house a bit after I finish being a slug for a while. It is Sunday morning after all and I am entitled to a bit of laziness.
I recently caught on cable the movie Pirate Radio. Enjoyed it! I’m not one of those people who looks for a deeper meaning and hidden metaphors it was just a good movie, held my attention and kept me entertained. I especially liked the end credits and how they displayed various rock-n-roll album covers from over the years. I will probably go check out Amazon for the soundtrack.
The Sickness (Ry) is currently inside and I have just introduced her to the miracle that is Vick’s Vapor Rub. Hopefully that works and helps her out a bit. Summer colds suck!
I have been thinking of making a bucket list. Might be fun, might just stress and depress me if I don’t actually accomplish anything on it ๐Ÿ˜‰

I am sitting here watching Beowulf and I can’t decide if it is comical or horrible. Then again it’s still not as bad as The Happening ๐Ÿ™‚

Anticipation – Entry for February 1, 2009

Anticipation – Entry for February 1, 2009

Iย can not wait until Terminator Salvation comes out. I have high hopes it will be a fitting follow up to the first two movies. I was so very disappointed in the third. The characters just did not fit nor did the tone of the movie. This looks like it could be it. If I was a puppy I might pee on the floor from excitement.

I finally joined Facebook and am glad I did. Reconnected with some old friends which has turned out to be fantastic. Sometimes you just don’t know how much you miss some people. It’s interesting to see how we all turned out. On the flip side to make it work you have to make yourself visible. Eeeeek!.

Of course I have looked up old boyfriends and the like. More a browse than anything else. I am happy to report that one in particluar seems to be as happy and content as I had always hoped. No no no, won’t mention any names as I prefer to let sleeping dogs lie but even as kids he was a good person, probably one of the best friends I’ve ever had and it is good to know life has treated him kindly and blessed him with a beautiful family.

Work is crazy busy as usual and I’ve got to be thankful for that. I’m very pleased with the project I’ve been working on and am eagerly anticipating launching our new services.

Seems like a time in my life where I am on the cusp of quite a few great things ๐Ÿ™‚
